This program has the following broad objectives:

• To emphasize the relevance and usefulness of mathematics from an application point of view
• To equip the learners with the core mathematical knowledge and training necessary for use in many application areas
• To expose the learner to real life problems and promote the use of mathematics in industry.
• To develop a work force that is equipped with the mathematical skills that are necessary in the changing industrial and economic scenario of the country

Eligilbilty

Graduates from a recognised University/Institution with a Major, or Honours in Mathematics with at least fifty percent marks in aggregrate.

Duration

MSc - Mathematics is of two academic years duration and conducted in for semesters and a candidate who is admitted to Msc - Mathematics Program shall complete the degree within twice the duration of the Program i.e. four years from the date of his admission failing which he has to seek admission afresh.
